CONTEXT
Designers constantly collect screenshots and saved images while studying user flows, interaction patterns, competitor products, and mood board directions.
But the collection process is fragmented:
GOAL
Create a lightweight browser companion that lets designers collect visual references across tabs without leaving their browsing flow.
The workflow needed a temporary memory between the browser and the canvas.
SOLUTION
SnapStack keeps captures from different tabs in one stack. Designers can copy one image, paste multiple into Figma or FigJam, or use them separately in browser-based tools.
ENABLE SNAPSTACK
REGION SCREENSHOT CAPTURE
can capture only the part of a page they need, switch tabs, and keep adding screenshots to the same floating stack without losing what they captured earlier.

SAVE IMAGES ACROSS TABS + USE CASE
You can save images from any webpage (Right click + Save to SnapStack), keep them in the same floating stack across tabs, and copy a single image when needed. Here, I tested the copied image directly in ChatGPT to show that it works beyond design tools too.
COPY THE FULL STACK INTO FIGMA
collect multiple screenshots and saved images while browsing, then paste the full stack into Figma.
TRY SNAPSTACK NOW!!
Try SnapStack from GitHub, use it in your workflow, and share feedback if you have any.

WHAT I LEARNED
Building SnapStack reinforced that good workflow tools are not only about speed. They are about timing, context, and reducing the small interruptions that break a designer’s momentum. The product challenge was to make capturing feel lightweight while still giving users control over what they keep, copy, or discard.
FUTURE GOAL
Next, I want to run deeper user testing with designers, understand where the flow still breaks, refine the extension based on real usage, and prepare it for launch on the Chrome Web Store.
